The 2026 season was the best of the Chelsea Farmer era at UT Martin, and for most of the spring the Skyhawks looked like a team that had figured out who it was. They won 33 games, went 20-6 in the Ohio Valley Conference and climbed to the No. 2 seed after being picked No. 8 in the preseason. Then they got to Peoria, and the bats went quiet at the worst possible time.
