Life doesn’t always move in the direction we want, but overcoming obstacles is something that can take much determination and great perspective. For North Carolina State softball pitcher Wynne Gore, she’s learned through those experiences well.
Gore’s time at NC State opened with pain nobody could explain. She fractured her spine during her freshman fall and carried the ache through the rest of the season. Every attempt to find the cause came up empty. It was not until her sophomore year, that a hip MRI finally told the story. Both of her labrums were torn, and the reason traced back to something she was born with.
