AUSL Announces All-Star Cup Roster and Broadcast Details with an August 2 Start

AUSL

Just in case you’re already feeling the AUSL withdrawal, there’s still more high-level softball to be played.

Earlier today, the Athletes Unlimited Softball League announced the full roster and broadcast schedule for the upcoming AUSL All-Star Cup, set to begin on August 2 in Raleigh, North Carolina. All games will air across ESPN platforms.

The event will feature dozens of the sport’s top names, including Odicci Alexander, Sis Bates, Michaela Edenfield, Bri Ellis, Megan Faraimo, Montana Fouts, Rachel Garcia, Tiare Jennings, Lexi Kilfoyl, Sam Landry, Aubrey Leach, Amanda Lorenz, Dejah Mulipola, Aleshia Ocasio, and Morgan Zerkle. The Blaze leads all AUSL squads with 16 players set to compete. The Bandits will have 15 players, and 13 each from the Talons and Volts.

Ali Newland, Paige Sinicki, and Kendra Falby will also compete in the All-Star Cup as well.

This will be a 21 game competition, that will decide the overall champion. Raleigh, NC, Rosemont, IL, and Greenville, NC will serve as host sites for the 2025 AUSL Pro Games, held in conjunction with the Little League Softball World Series presented by DICK’S Sporting Goods.

“Following the incredible success of the inaugural season of the AUSL, the AUSL All-Star Cup provides yet another opportunity for the world’s best softball players to compete, this time for an individual championship,” said Kim Ng, Commissioner of the AUSL. “We are excited for our new fans of the Bandits, Blaze, Talons and Volts to see their favorite players compete in this unique format.”

After such a fast rise in popularity during its first season, I’m excited, and honestly curious, to see the buy-in from fans as this new All-Star Cup format takes center stage.

I had the chance to speak with AUSL Manager of Softball Operations Sam Fischer in Rosemont following the break, and she was excited not only for this year’s event, but what this could mean moving forward. From her words and energy, it’s clear the league believes players and fans alike will still embrace what made the Athletes Unlimited Softball so unique in the beginning.

Sam Fischer speaks with Charles Mays about the All-Star Cup.

As mentioned above, the All-Star cup will begin play on August 2 in Raleigh, North Carolina. Below is the complete list of game locations, times, and broadcast information provided by Athletes Unlimited.
