Clemson Extends Head Coach John Rittman Through 2031
The Clemson University Board of Trustees Compensation Committee has approved a contract extension for Head Softball Coach John Rittman through the 2031 season.

Coach John Rittman: Extended Through 2031
Today the Clemson University Board of Trustees Compensation Committee approved Head Softball Coach John Rittman to a contract extension through the 2031 season. Coach Rittman was selected as the Clemson Softball coach on November 3, 2017.
The program’s first action took place on February 7, 2020, against St. John’s at UCF’s Black & Gold Tournament in Orlando, Florida.
The Tigers finished 2025 with a 48-14 record and set many program records along the way. Clemson as a program, surpassed the 200 overall win mark and reached 100 wins in ACC play.
Coming off their first ACC Tournament Championship and a Super Regional appearance against the eventual National Champion, Texas Longhorns, the Clemson Tigers Softball program is consistent and on an upward trajectory.
