On Thursday, August 20, ESPN Events announced the field for the 2027 Shriners Children’s Clearwater Invitational. The draw is smaller than normal, as 11 teams will take to Clearwater, Fla., February 18-21 at the Eddie C. Moore Complex.
The event featured 16 teams in previous years. However, this field still has potential for a great weekend of college softball.
The back-to-back national runner-up Texas Tech Red Raiders will make their second consecutive appearance. Florida State, a staple at this event, will participate as well.
Clemson, Liberty, East Carolina, South Carolina, Oklahoma State, Washington, Virginia Tech, UCF, and Texas A&M round out the field, which spans six conferences.
