The Athletes Unlimited Softball League All-Star Cup is moving on to Series 3, and the rosters are now set. After Team Klingler dominated Series 2, three captains emerged from that team. Sharlize Palacios, Baylee Klingler and Sam Landry finished on top of the leaderboard in that order.
Palacios currently stands in first place with 560 points. Her team will wear black and gold uniforms. Klingler is just behind with 520 total points, and her team will wear colorful uniforms. Landry, at 502 points, will take the light uniforms.
So far the All-Star Cup has been heavily dominated by strong pitching and defense. Sunday night’s 11-hit performance by Team Ricketts is the most by a team during this year’s All-Star Cup to date. Rachel Garcia recorded her 15th career All-Star Cup victory to tie Alyssa Denham for third on the all-time list.
